How it started
I started my career in the neurodiversity field in 2000 working for a national organization in England as a Director tasked with leading the set up and development of the first transitional residential service for young autistic adults with complex needs. I experienced first hand the difference it made to the young people and those around them to be supported in the most suitable way to meet their individual needs.
My experience
Since that time, I have set up and developed various services in support of neurodivergent people and their families. I have authored and delivered training on aspects of neurodiversity nationally and internationally to education, health, care, community and industry services. I also support neurodivergent employees through coaching and I mentor their managers. Time and time again, I see the positive difference it makes to have an understanding of neurodiversity, to listen to the individual and to suggest strategies to empower them in their work and in their lives.
My qualifications
I hold a Masters Degree in Education Management, a Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and I am currently completing a Doctorate in Education focusing on autism and old age. I am a Fellow of the Institute for Leadership and Management, an Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine, and an affiliate of the Institute for Health and Care Improvement.
Aim of the consultancy
The Manar Matusiak Consultancy has been founded to continue supporting and empowering neurodivergent people through training, coaching, mentoring and consultancy. Along with my associates, our knowledge and experience lies particularly in autism, ADHD and AuDHD.
